Global Aranguren Biomasa
Global Aranguren Biomasa -Glefaran- is a renewable energy company whose main activity is the combustion of forest biomass to produce energy.
To do this it uses as raw material the biomass collected from timber felling and pruning, clean natural wood that has never been treated.
The process of electric generation by co-generation based on biomass was installed in 2001 and has functioned since then. Following insolvency proceedings in 2014 Global Aranguren acquired the electric plant together with its tangible and intangible assets.
After a complete restructuring and modernization process Global Aranguren commenced operations in 2016. The technology used is aimed at achieving an efficient level of performance with minimum emissions, which can be summed up as high efficiency with low emissions.
With constant quality controls and well-planned maintenance our challenge is to exceed what is required by the most demanding standards.
The company employs 35 people directly and 100 people indirectly, and has plans to undertake new activities in the near future.
In order to carry out its activity Global Aranguren has 181 suppliers, 22 of whom are in Enkarterri and 128 in Biscay.
